COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus City Schools Board of Education approved a three-year master agreement for thousands of educators in the district.

The board unanimously approved the contract on Tuesday evening.

The agreement will cover more than 4,500 CCS teachers and other education professionals in the union.

Last week, union members voted at a Columbus Education Association (CEA) general membership meeting to ratify the master agreement after they reached a “ ” on a contract with CCS.

The master agreement guarantees a 2.25% salary increase in the first year for all bargaining unit members as well as improvements to working and learning conditions. It also forecasts wage negotiations for the second and third years of the agreement, which expires in August 2028.
