ARCADIA, La. -- Six applicants applied for the position of Bienville Parish Schools superintendent but only three will be interviewed, hopefully with a new superintendent in place by Sept. 2.

In a special meeting Tuesday, the school board voted to interview the three applicants as follows: Acting Superintendent Leroy Hamilton, Shane Lee and Jeremiah Williams. Hamilton and Lee come from within the Bienville Parish Central Office.

The other three applicants included Curt R. Green, director of Human Resources at Bessemer City Schools; C. Michael Robinson, former superintendent (consultant – not paid work) Burns Van-Fleet Consulting; and Kenneth H. Gipson, a social studies instructor at Louisiana United Methodist Children’s Home.
