RIO BLANCO COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — On Friday, the Defense Health Agency announced that temporary prescription refill waivers have been extended for TRICARE beneficiaries in Rio Blanco and Routt Counties due to the Crosho Fire.

Beneficiaries in both counties are eligible to receive emergency prescription refills through Sunday.

The extension was previously given to Delta and Archuleta Counties due to the Elk, LeRoux and Oak Fires impacting those residents. In Delta, patients had until Aug. 16 to retrieve their prescription refills, while people in Archuleta can still receive their refills until Thursday.

For beneficiaries to receive an emergency refill, they can either take their prescription bottle to a retail pharmacy in TRICARE's network or contact the pharmacy if they do not have the
