EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - University of Evansville students are making their way back to class this Wednesday.

The university held its “New Student Day of Service” earlier this week.

The event was held for all incoming students spend the day helping local non-profits across the city and Vanderburgh County, which included the Evansville Rescue Mission, Easterseals, Mesker Park Zoo, and many more.

School leaders say this is a great way for new students to give back and meet their fellow Purple Aces.
