MOUNT PLEASANT — A 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after more than 40 vehicles were found with slashed tires in the downtown and south campus areas, according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
Police said in an Aug. 20 news release that they received a report of a slashed tire at 7:50 a.m. Aug. 19. During the investigation, it was determined that Central Michigan University Police had also received similar reports.
The man, a Mount Pleasant resident, was arrested at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday. His arraignment is scheduled for the afternoon of Aug. 20 in Isabella County.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department said the investigation was supported by Central Michigan University Police and Isabella County Central Dispatch.
