AVON LAKE, Ohio — The bodies of the two half brothers who have been missing in the waters of Lake Erie off of Huntington Beach since Sunday have been found by first responders.

According to a release from Cleveland Metroparks, the bodies of 22-year-old Austin Labbe and 19-year-old Trent Sanchez were recovered by police and the Avon Lake Fire Department between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday in Lorain County.

Prior to the release from Cleveland Metroparks, Avon Lake police had also told 3News that first responders pulled a body from Lake Erie at approximately 1 p.m. Police and fire responded to the area off of North Point Drive, near the intersection of Lake Road and Lear Road.
