MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday evening.
At 3:29 p.m., MPD responded to a shooting scene at 3215 South Third Street, Station 36 of the Memphis Fire Department.
According to MPD, a 12-year-old boy was shot while walking into a grocery store with his mother.
The boy was transported to the hospital in non-critical condition.
MPD is still gathering details on the shooting, including which grocery store in Memphis as well as the suspect.
