The choral director at Brockton High School has been placed on leave after he was arrested on charges of paying an underage boy for sex, authorities said.
Matthew Cunningham, 35, is facing one count each of trafficking a person for sexual servitude and sexual conduct for a fee, according to a statement from Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz’s office.
Cunningham pleaded not guilty Tuesday afternoon at his arraignment in Brockton District Court, hours after State Police and local police arrested him at his Brockton home, the statement said.
He was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail. If released, he must avoid contact with the victim and Brockton High School, stay off social media, surrender his passport, and remain in Massa
