Isle of Palms SC beach house goes viral on Zillow Gone Wild

ISLE OF PALMS — Summer vacation may be coming to an end but this $3.5 million Lowcountry house has caught the nation's attention for its beachy getaway vibe.

"This isn't your typical beach house," said Annmarie Bailey, listing agent with The Boulevard Company. "Actually, the nickname for the neighbors is 'The Castle House.' "

The squared-up four-bedroom, four-bathroom house at 3 Cross Lane was shared on social media Aug. 16 by the quirky account Zillow Gone Wild — a Zillow affiliate that showcases some of the "wildest" homes in the U.S. Within hours the Isle of Palms residence garnered thousands of likes.

"I’m already sitting on the porch sipping some sweet tea!" one commenter wrote.

Another noted how the wrought-iron stairs that spiral up to the fourth floor reminded the commen
