JAMES ISLAND — Those who knew Angel Terse Capers say her first name aptly represented who she was.
The 38-year-old James Island woman wouldn’t pass by a hungry person without offering to feed them, was quick to help others with expenses when they were in a pinch and always made time to listen without judging, her loved ones said.
She carried her values into her professional life, where she quietly racked up accolades serving as an U.S. Army unit supply specialist in Afghanistan, the Persian Gulf and domestically.
After being honorably discharged in 2015, Capers returned home to the Charleston area, where she earned her associate’s degree and worked with a government contractor while raising her three children.
