A machete and a haul of drugs were uncovered after police raided homes in Moss Side on Thursday (August 21).

Five people were arrested during the warrants which police said were to 'disrupt anti-social behaviour and drug dealing' complaints around the Alison Street area.

The suspects were arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs. Several thousands of pounds worth of drugs were recovered, including crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

Large amounts of cash and a machete were also recovered, Greater Manchester Police said.
