It's the first week of the Alabama high school football season and plenty of scores are starting to roll in.
The season officially started Thursday, Aug. 21 but most teams waited until Friday. Some will wait until next week to get their seasons started.
There are plenty of high profile games around the state this week with Jackson and Saraland highlighting the slate in the south. Piedmont and Cherokee County headline one of the more blockbuster games in the north. Hoover hosts IMG Academy and Central Phenix-City travels to Pinson Valley.
