Maine man allegedly shot a pregnant woman in Carver. A few hours later, he shot his cousin in Dennis, authorities say.

In a burst of violence, a Maine man allegedly shot a pregnant woman at a pond in Carver last week, and just hours later shot his cousin outside a sports bar in Dennis, according to officials and court records.

On Aug. 13, Anthony A. Delman, 37, of Fryeburg, allegedly shot the woman, whom he had previously dated, in the hip area. After his cousin gave him a ride from Carver to Dennis, Delman allegedly shot him in the leg, officials said.

Delman pleaded not guilty Aug. 15 in Orleans District Court to charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury in connection with the Dennis shooting, records show.

His lawyer didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
