CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A former Green Township police officer, who is facing charges in two counties for allegedly abusing his now-former girlfriend’s infant, has a previous conviction of driving a police cruiser while drunk and then crashing it.

According to Green Township Police Chief Jim Vetter, Alexander Grimme resigned in July of 2021 after Green Township police arrested him for a “minor” OVI crash in a police cruiser.

Chief Vetter says Grimme only worked for the police department for six months.
