Today: We remain in a moist and unsettled summer pattern today, with scattered afternoon and evening storms possible. The better chances may set up south of Interstate 59, while areas farther north could see more breaks of sunshine.

Highs this afternoon look to be near 89 with humidity staying high.

This Weekend: Through the weekend, hit-or-miss afternoon showers and storms are expected to continue, with highs likely in the mid-to-upper 80s. That’s fairly typical for this time of year.

The Next Big Thing: By late Sunday into Monday, a front looks to move into central Alabama. This should bring lower humidity and cooler mornings, with highs trending toward the lower 80s and lows dipping into the 60s.
