CHARLESTON — The owner of popular downtown dive bar Burns Alley Tavern was arrested in December after he reportedly threatened a patron with a pistol over a practical joke. Now the victim is seeking a remedy in civil court over the altercation.
Burns Alley Tavern, located at 354-B King St., is widely known for its no-frills atmosphere, happy hour specials and hosting local music talents. One patron may remember the spot for a joke gone wrong, which allegedly ended with a gun pressed to his neck.
