SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - South Bend’s Community Police Review Board says a formal complaint has been filed against the officer who was seen in a viral video detaining a 14-year-old girl.
According to the director of the board, Charles King III, this means the board can now officially investigate the incident.
The incident happened last Friday near the McDonald’s on Michigan Street. It’s been the center of a lot of debate, outrage and significant public interest ever since a bystander captured and posted a brief video of it on social media .
