A pub has been evacuated amid a serious police incident in Plymouth this evening. The Stable pub, on the Plymouth Barbican , has been evacuated according to one witness, there is a sizeable police presence by the waterfront and the Coastguard has been seen in the area.

A large cordon is in place and a tent has been put up, according to one witness. Multiple police officers and paramedics are in the area.

Another witness told PlymouthLive: "There's been an incident at The Stable. Everyone was removed from the pub and nobody allowed to enter. There are six or seven police vehicles and the air ambulance is on route there now."
