GRESHAM, Ore — A large plume of thick, dark smoke was seen over eastern Gresham on Friday afternoon.

The Gresham Fire Department told KGW that crews were working to extinguish a fire at a tire warehouse near Halsey Street and 192nd Avenue.

By around 6:14 p.m., crews had the fire under control, the agency said, though crews were set to remain on the site throughout the night to put out any smoldering.

Details about the blaze are limited, but no injuries have been reported at this time. The area has been reopened for vehicle traffic.
