PORTLAND, Ore. — A vehicle fire blocked all westbound traffic on Interstate 84 in Northeast Portland for nearly two hours Friday evening. It was near the point where the freeway passes over Northeast 148th Avenue.
All lanes have reopened, as of 10:16 p.m.
The Oregon Department of Transportation had announced just before 6 p.m. that the westbound right-side shoulder had been opened to allow traffic to pass, but all of the main westbound lanes remained closed, and two eastbound lanes were open near Northeast 184th Avenue.
Portland and Corbett fire crews arrived at the scene, where a large motorhome was fully engulfed in flames, according to Portland Fire and Rescue (PF&R).
