PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Portland International Airport has now officially hit 100 degrees for the first time this summer.

The official record-keeping comes from Portland International Airport. Earlier this month, the century mark was missed by one degree for three consecutive days. This latest ridge of high pressure has helped push Portland officially into the 100-degree territory for the first time during the 2025 summer season.

A record for the warmest August 22 was also broken as Portland area temperatures soared above average on Friday. The old record for August 22 was 98 degrees, last set in 1942.
