Portland, Ore. (KOIN) -- Summer sunshine is not only impacting Portland area temperatures, but also the air quality.
Wildfire smoke from western fires will start working its way east this weekend. The combined high heat, increase in surface ozone, and wildfire smoke will reduce the air quality along the Willamette Valley.
The National Weather Service has put much of the Willamette Valley under an Air Quality Advisory from Saturday morning to Monday night. This comes as wildfire smoke and high heat will be at its peak this weekend.
