ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- There are several opportunities for families in Chemung County to take advantage of free school supplies this weekend.

One event is happening at the Field of Fathers at 1209 Sullivan Street in Elmira, from noon until 3 P.M. There will be a backpack giveaway, filled with supplies, a t-shirt, socks, a water bottle and headphones, along with activities for kids like bounce houses, free food and ice cream, and family-friendly activities.
