With High School Football kicking off next Friday, tonight was the unofficial start with Week 0 scrimmages all over Central Illinois

( 25News Now ) - With just one week left until the start of the 2025 High School Football season, tonight was the unofficial start as schools across the area showcased what they’ve been working on in the offseason.

Some schools opted to play outside competition, like Pekin vs. Peoria Richwoods, Peoria Manual vs. Canton, East Peoria vs. IVC, and Metamora vs. Chatham Glenwood.

Others elected to stay in-house and play intra-squad scrimmages, like Peoria High and Washington.
