High pressure is continuing to build into northern California, and will drive bright and very hot conditions today. The potential for dangerous heat will persist through this weekend. A Heat Advisory is set to be in effect from 11am Friday through 11pm Saturday across the valley, Shasta County Mountains, Northern Mountains, and areas of Modoc, Lassen and Plumas Counties. An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for western Siskiyou County from 1pm Friday through 8pm Monday.
