WADSWORTH, Ohio — Following back-to-back Suburban League conference titles, the Wadsworth Grizzlies entered the 2025 season with high expectations — and they wasted no time living up to them. On Friday night, they dominated Barberton in a 55-7 route to open the season.

“I thought we played fast and I was pleased with how we played,” Wadsworth head coach Justin Todd said. “Anytime you can come out and dominate the competition, that’s what you want to do.”

The Grizzlies, coming off a regional semifinal run in Division II last season, are ranked seventh in the cleveland.com preseason Top 25.
