CLEVELAND, Ohio — Hudson defeated Austintown Fitch 28-14 in their home opener Friday night.

They took the lead late in the first quarter with a 7-yard touchdown run by Reno Ferri. The score remained 7-0 going into halftime.
The Explorers opened up the second half with a 42-yard run from Ferri, which was led to a touchdown run by Brennen Funyak. Fitch responded with a touchdown pass from Collin Kalaher to Isaiah Porch to bring the game within one score at 14-7.
The Explorers responded quickly with a touchdown pass by Hayden Lipinski to Christopher Horner to expand the lead to 21-7.
