Members of the RCMP and the Edmonton Police Service’s Tactical Squad seized 68 grams of suspected fentanyl after a home was searched on Aug. 14.
Wetaskiwin RCMP stated that other suspected narcotics were seized after a search warrant was executed: three grams of methamphetamine, nine grams of psilocybin and 1.5 grams of cocaine. Scales, baggies and an unspecified amount of cash were also found on the premises

The investigation began in late June in Wetaskiwin, located 70 km south of Edmonton. RCMP say they were investigating an individual who was suspected of dealing fentanyl in the area. Multiple RCMP units were brought into the investigation, which culminated with the Aug. 14 search of an Edmonton property.
