JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Jefferson County first responders were out working 'til the cows came home early Saturday morning... literally.
The New Market Fire Department and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a stuck calf that had the misfortune of wandering into a sinkhole on Friends Station Road around 7:30 a.m.
According to the fire department, the calf fell into a hole that was 8 feet deep and 8 feet wide. Crews were able to hoist the calf out of the hole safely with no injuries to the animal or crews.
