The company warns of an allergy risk after a packaging mix-up at its Texas plant.

Blue Bell Creameries announced a voluntary recall on a limited number of Moo-llennium Crunch ice cream half gallons after discovering the product was packaged in the wrong cartons. The company warns that the affected ice cream, which contains undeclared almond , walnut , and pecan , poses a risk to consumers with severe nut allergies.

According to a company statement, the affected half gallons were mistakenly packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cartons with a Moo-llennium Crunch lid.

The mix-up was discovered by a Blue Bell employee who noticed the incorrect packaging while restocking a store. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date.
