On Sunday at 4:49 p.m. a special weather statement was released by the National Weather Service until 7 p.m. for Bradford County.

"Scattered Thunderstorms Into Early Evening * A line of showers and thunderstorms has developed from Syracuse down towards Elmira. These storms will move east through the next several hours with gusty winds to 50 mph and small hail in the stronger storms," explains the weather service.
