Fallen tree restricts traffic on Route 8

Traffic is restricted at the intersection of Route 8 and Benton Boulevard in Middlesex Township after a tree fell onto the road.

Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company said in a post on its Facebook page shortly before 5 p.m. a tree had fallen onto Route 8 blocking the southbound lane.

While the fire department is getting traffic through “slowly but surely,” it advised using a detour if possible.
