ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) - According to Matt Zenitz from CBS Sports, Michigan is going to officially name true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood its starter for the New Mexico game.

Underwood was battling with multiple other Michigan QBs, including Jadyn Davis, Mikey Keene, Jake Garcia, and others, for the starting quarterback job. Underwood seemed to be the favorite to win the job as Michigan’s fall camp progressed.

The former Belleville QB was a five-star recruit that flipped from LSU to Michigan due to an NIL deal that was worth north of 10 million dollars.

In the Wolverines’ spring game, Underwood was solid in his first public practice at the Big House, going 12-for-26 through the air for 187 yards, an interception, and a touchdown.
