A cold front moving into Massachusetts on Monday could bring some showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
A weak low-pressure system is set to pass through ahead of the front, bringing some showers to Cape Cod and the islands. The majority of the showers should be over by mid-morning.
The front will move in from the west later in the day into the evening. As it does, there is a chance for some showers and storms in the afternoon.
But National Weather Service forecasters say there is a low likelihood any storms that do form will be severe. Any storms that do materialize are likely to arrive between 3 and 6 p.m.
Still, there is a fairly low chance any storms will actually arrive, forecasters said.
