Tragedy as holidaymaker dies in Asda store

A man has tragically died following a medical emergency at Asda in the South West.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed they were contacted by paramedics regarding an incident at the Paignton branch in South Devon on Sunday, August 24, at approximately 11.20am.

It is believed the holidaymaker had just entered the Borough Close store and was collecting a trolley when he suddenly collapsed after suffering what appeared to be a seizure.

Customers and employees rushed to assist him, performing CPR until ambulance crews arrived. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene, as reports Devon Live .
