COLUMBUS, Ind. – Cummins and the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center present the annual Community Wide Recycling Day on Thursday, October 2, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Cummins Engine Plant entrance, 500 Central Ave., in Columbus.

The event is open to all households in the community. Most materials collected will be donated to local Cummins partners.

The materials that will be accepted for recycling are listed below.

Household Recyclables:

Beverage Containers (Aluminum, Glass, Steel, and Plastics #1-#2)

Cardboard

Scrap Metal

Paper

Gently-used shoes/clothing

Appliances/Electronics:

TVs, IT Equipment, Computers, Monitors, Components

Household appliances (Refrigerators, Humidifiers, A/C Units)

Electronics accessories (Wires/Phones/Servers/Radios)

Miscellaneous:

Fluorescent
