COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department arrest a local man on meth possession, dealing charges on Thursday, August 21.

As a result of a Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) investigation, 35 year old Joshua Nicholas of Columbus was arrested. Nicholas was taken into custody during a traffic stop during which there was a positive alert from a BCSO K9 on Nichols’ vehicle. The subsequent search of the vehicle due to the K9 alert resulted in locating approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine, digital scale and packaging material.

Nichols remains in custody at the Bartholomew County Jail on a 72 hour hold on the charges of;

dealing methamphetamine

possession of methamphetamine

possession of marijuana.
