FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - For those who like their hoodies, bonfires, and even pumpkin spice lattes, you’re in for a treat the next few days!

“False Fall” has arrived, which will provide temporary relief from the heat. This is not necessarily unusual, as this “bump in the road” typically arrives in late August or early September.

For example, last year, a short-lived cool stretch happened the third week of August where lows dropped into the chilly 40s!

This year, overnight lows will return to the 40s for the next two nights with some records potentially in jeopardy.

In fact, tonight’s low may be within a few degrees of the record of 45º set back in 1907. Tomorrow night’s record is 45º and we’re forecasting a low of 47º.
