On Monday at 1:50 p.m. a heat advisory was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Wednesday at 9 p.m. for Grande Ronde Valley, John Day Basin and Central Oregon.

The weather service adds, "Hot conditions with temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees expected. This will pose a moderate to locally major risk of heat-related illness."

"Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses," states the weather service.
