A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Monday at 3:29 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 4 p.m. for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.
The storms may bring wind gusts of up to 40 mph and nickel-sized hail (0.88 inches).
"At 3:28 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Bolan Lake Campground, or 11 miles north of Happy Camp. This storm was nearly stationary," comments the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible."
The weather service states, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building."
