JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - A man is facing charges after a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, 58-year-old Lerone McWilliams is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful use of weapons.

On August 24, a deputy saw a vehicle commit a traffic violation and pulled the car over.

A K-9 found meth and an illegal “slap-jack” style weapon in the car.

McWilliams was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
