BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Delano police are investigating an alleged assault that occurred early Monday morning.

Police responded to the 300 block of Dover Place Aug. 25, at about 3:30 a.m. for a report of an assault. The department said a 34-year-old man with a puncture wound was located and transported to a nearby trauma center.

The victim is in stable condition, police said.
