TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A firefighter was taken to the hospital after battling a home fire in Tulare County, the Tulare County Fire Department said on Monday.

Crews responded to the area of E. Marin Avenue and Molly Road in Earlimart for a two-alarm structure fire.

There, crews were battling a home fire when one firefighter sustained minor heat illness. They were transported to a local hospital, and their status is unknown.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
