This morning, the sky is cloudy with temperatures in the 60s.

THE NEXT 24 HOURS: The clouds will remain intact today, which will play a part in keeping temperatures this afternoon in the upper 70s and low 80s, which is well below average for late August.

A few stray showers are possible in West Alabama through midday. Overnight, the cool-down really settles in with lows dropping into the 50s by early Wednesday morning.

THE NEXT BIG THING: Looking ahead, a passing disturbance will increase clouds through the day on Thursday, with a chance for some showers or even a storm by Thursday night.
