SHREVEPORT, La. -- Shreveport police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of forcing his way into a house Monday morning and beating a man with a gun.

The warrant charges Kaleb Martin with home invasion.

Police said the incident happened around 10:22 a.m. in the 200 block of Patton Avenue. A woman told police Martin began banging on her front door, and she could see from the Ring doorbell camera that he had a firearm under his arm.

She refused to let him in; however, Martin rammed his shoulder into the door to gain entry. He then went to a bedroom where a man was lying down and allegedly hit him several times in the forehead with the firearm, according to police.

Martin left in an unknown direction.
