NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are asking the public to avoid the area of a search for a gunman following a shooting Tuesday afternoon.
Police say they are at the scene in the area of Montague Avenue and Gaynor Avenue and are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
Police spokesman Harve Jacobs confirmed one person was injured.
There is no word on a description of the shooter.
Police said drivers can take Rivers Avenue to Remount Avenue or to Durant Avenue to avoid the police presence.
