GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville Police Department is on the scene of a crash involving a suspect on Tuesday morning.

Officers said they were trying to apprehend a suspect at Mauldin Road and South Pleasantburg Drive. The suspect fled on foot, entered the road and was struck by a chicken truck operated by Columbia Farms of GA.

Police said the suspect was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

According to the Greenville Police Department, the suspect had a warrant for violation of probation and is additionally being charged with interfering with police. His name will be released once he is transported to the detention center.
