GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville city skyline will soon look different and set a record.
Greenville City Council approved a major project, The Gateway Project, on Monday night.
The project will bring the state’s tallest building to downtown Greenville.
The building will be 29 stories tall and will sit at 250 North Church Street.
The plan includes over 300 multi-family units, a large public plaza and public improvements, like new sidewalks and a median.
“I think it’s really exciting to have a state landmark in our city,” Greenville resident Caroline Asplundh said.
It’s a plan that folks told FOX Carolina they’re looking forward to and one many said will add to the city’s uniqueness.
“I feel pretty good about it. I would like the downtown to stay it’s cute, quant self,
