CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - It’s a local election year for Mecklenburg County voters, and residents in Charlotte will be choosing their city council members.

Election Day for Mecklenburg County’s 2025 municipal election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The city of Charlotte is the only city hosting a primary election, which is set for Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Early voting was underway for Charlotte’s primary election, as of Aug. 21. Charlotte voters will choose their at-large city council representatives, in addition to city council representatives for individual districts.
