BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Violent crime in Baton Rouge is making an unfortunate return.

Police say a man was found shot in the middle of Marque Ann Drive just after 4 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Former Police Chief Jeff LeDuff knows gun violence personally. He lost his brother-in-law to it.

“The fourth of September will be 15 years that he was killed on the streets of Baton Rouge. On my watch as police chief,” said LeDuff

Now, as the Mayor’s Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, LeDuff is working to help keep the city’s violent crime numbers trending lower. It’s a tough job.
